Shopping and Local Services
With the lockdown extended, we have put together some information on shops and services that are available locally to help you.
With supermarket home deliveries hard to secure due to an overwhelming demand, many people are faced with having to leave home to carry out their weekly shop for their own families but also maybe for friends or neighbours. To help reduce the number of trips to the shop there are other options too; a number of local businesses that have had to temporarily close their place of work or have seen a drop-in footfall have risen to the challenge and found ways to continue to trade. They are offering their services/products by bringing them to you or by providing a collection service or online ordering. This is a great way for us to continue to get fresh produce and other services but also to support small local businesses

Bread and Bakery Nash’s bakery visit every Saturday from 10:00 – 12:00 in the Village Hall carpark. A great opportunity to buy freshly baked bread, cakes and savoury snacks.

Fruit & Vegetable delivery This is organised from the White Heart pub at Preston Bissett. Different size boxes of vegetables, fruit or mixed boxes, all delivered to your door. Fruit & Vegetables to collect - The Fruit Stall Bicester are selling fruit and veg boxes from their home, 2 sizes available for collection on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am at 27 Murcott Road, Arncott OX25 1PL. Afternoon Tea, Cakes and other delicious things: Bicester Bean Coffee Shop & Café - Do you know someone who has a birthday or celebration coming up that will be disappointed to be spending it without family and friends or someone who just deserves a treat? Preston Bissett Nursery - Garden compost, plants and bird seed, to order email shop@thenurseries.com. they will call you back to take payment and arrange delivery. They ask you not to call but understand not everyone has email, if you are unable to contact them by email you can telephone 01280 848038.
